Kitchen

The kitchen is at the heart of Ballintaggart.

Good food is prepared with classical skill and thought, championing local, artisan producers and Scottish flavours. Where possible, ingredients are sourced from the kitchen garden and foraged from surrounding hedgerows, fields and woodlands.

Dishes and menus reflect the seasons and showcase natural, simple ingredients at their finest. We invite guests to join us for breakfast and delicious home baking each afternoon, and we can also provide packed lunches and supper at the Farm if requested in advance.

Chris has cooked for private clients throughout the UK and Europe and has gained experience working under Andrew Fairlie, Nathan Outlaw and Rick Stein. He offers a bespoke service for any private catering event from dinner for two to a feast for 250.

Feast Nights

The warm and friendly hospitality that characterised Charlie and Evelyn’s Table, our Edinburgh supper club, is recreated at larger tables in the steading. Ballintaggart feasts bring like-minded people together to enjoy unique and memorable dining experiences, with stunning views, cosy log fires and delicious, seasonal menus.
